Paul B. Edwards > Edinburgh Fringe
For 2014 Paul B. Edwards is bringing three brand new shows to the Edinburgh Fringe!
As part of the PBH Free Fringe we ask for a donation on the way out – recommended to be £5 but if you don’t have that much, give us what you can spare (or if you’re loaded, you can give us more).
Last Minute Comedy Club
PBH Free Fringe
7.45 – 8.45
WhistleBinkies on the corner of Niddry Street and The Royal Mile
August 3rd to 24th (except Saturdays.)
Four different comedians performing each day and regular host Paul B. Edwards holding it all together. This is one of the best and most established compilation shows on the Free Fringe and features a really cracking line-up every day with surprise special guests and some of the cream of the Free Fringe appearing.
The Story of Medieval England from 1066-1485
… at roughly nine years and two gags per minute, featuring The Hundred Years War as a football match and of course Scottish Independence!
16.15 (50 mins)
Venue 357 Bannermans, 212 Cowgate, EH1 1NQ
August 3-24 (not Saturdays).
The highs and lows of medieval English history. Scotland comes out of it all rather well, Wales and France less so… Paul B. Edwards has been doing stand up comedy for so long that he was there for some of this. Probably the most fun a man can have in a hauberk! ‘Pretty damn funny’ (Scottish Daily Mail).
Kids Do The Funniest Things
11.20 – 12.20
August 3 – 6, 8 – 13, 15 – 20, 22 & 23
Hispaniola, 3 Drummond Street EH8 9TT.
Produced by The Comedy Workshop Company this hour long workshop will enable participants to write a one minute routine in the first half of the session and then perform it in the second. Course leader Paul B. Edwards will give insights into the world of comedy and show the budding comedians how to put together a routine and then deliver it in front of their mums and dads!
As part of the PBH Free Fringe the workshop is FREE ENTRY with the (encouraged) option for parents to pay what they think it is worth on the way out! All ages are welcome but under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult and it’s unlikely that children under the age of five will be able to get fully involved, although every effort will be made to get every single child in the room on stage if at all possible. All participants get a badge and certificate that prove they are a comedian who has appeared on the Edinburgh Fringe!
